Art Ain't Just Pretty" is a captivating documentary set in Louisiana,
following a group of African American young adults as they navigate mental health challenges,
post-flood recovery, and the impact of social media in the post-pandemic era.
Through intimate interviews and personal stories, the film highlights the transformative power
of the arts as a means of healing, self-expression, and community.
It challenges conventional narratives and invites viewers to
reflect on the role of the arts in addressing personal and collective struggles.


The Resilience Project, mission is to empower individuals in Louisiana who have a passion for film and the arts by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the industry. We believe in collaboration and support from the community and strive to work with independent filmmakers and artists to provide education in filmmaking basics, documentary filmmaking, art entrepreneurship, and STEAM. Our goal is to create a community of resilient individuals who never give up in the face of adversity and are able to express themselves through their art. We are dedicated to providing career readiness to individuals interested in the film and art industry, and to fostering a love for the arts in the community.
